Good morning Neal To The Cross peoples! I just had a nice encounter with the Holy Spirit. I was watching a teaching by Kris Vallotton on www.ibethel.tv and he was praying over the service and those like me watching online and I just felt overcome by the Holy Spirit and had goose bumps for a good 20+ seconds and just felt filled up. So powerful.

I have been attending Saddleback Church the last couple weeks and have really enjoyed the teaching by Rick Warren on “The Invisible War.” Part 1 was on “When You Feel Like Giving Up”, part 2 “Winning The Battle Inside Me”, part 3 “Set Free From Me”, part 4 “Making The Hard Changes In Me”, and part 5 “Why Is Life In This World So Hard?.” Below is part 1 and part 2 and their study notes and you can click here to watch the rest. I really encourage you to watch each video and watch God speak to you in mighty ways.

For all of you non-believers or doubters I have been praying for you as well. Dive in and see what happens. Jesus has a plan for your life. He knows everything about you and he wants you to know everything about him.

Last Saturday was one of the happiest days of my life. For many years alot of people including myself prayed for my sister to meet the man of her dreams and get married and that finally happened on May 23, 2008. It burned deep in my heart for my sister to be happy in that area in her life and her wedding day was simply amazing. Then we all started to pray for her to get pregnant and God had other plans for the moment. There were some ups and downs but I am very happy to say that she is now almost 8 months pregnant and we are all very happy and excited for her baby boy to enter this world.

This past Saturday we had a baby shower at my parents house and 30 of my sisters friends came over to celebrate and talk and talk and talk and talk and open presents and just hang out and enjoy my sister as she is in town from Washington where she now lives. The guys took off at the beginning of the shower but I wanted to come back toward the end so I could watch my sister open her gifts from all the ladies. Let me tell you there were a ton of gifts and I was so happy I could be there to help out and watch my sister be so happy in this moment.

Please pray for her and her son during the last couple weeks of her pregnancy. Enjoy the videos below. The Lord has anwered my prayers and I am so thankful. When you WAIT on the Lord this is exactly what happens. HIS perfect plan.

I am still reading “The Fire Of Delayed Answers” by Bob Sorge and every page I read really speaks to me in some deep way. I only read a couple pages at a time and then I sit back and let it sink in. I pray and then sit quietley to see if I can hear any more information from the Lord. I have been learning about the “Quietness Camp” which calls for absolute surrender and restful waiting and the “Confidence Camp” which is fervent seeking and how during this time in my life I need both.

As many of you know I like to make things happen and happen now. I don’t like to wait and I like to make sure people are taken care of. But somtimes God says to WAIT. I have been praying for 2 areas in my life, one area for 16 years, and one for 14 years and I have had to learn how to WAIT(with alot of complaining) for quite a while. Here is another quote from the book that sums up what we need to do when we are WAITING or if some kind of crisis hits. “Find a place of quietness in Me by setting your soul and stilling your spirit, and relinquishing everthing into My hands; and let your heart rise up in confidence in Me, by pressing into My face, devouring My word, claiming My promises, and making the good confession!

As you can see below, I wrote “Wait On God” on a piece of paper and taped it to my wall so it could be a daily reminder on what I need to do. “The greater the wait, the greater the work.”

About 6 weeks ago I told you guys about 4 x students of mine who were hit by a drunk driver and one, Ashton Sweet was killed. Please read below and see how God always brings good out of tragedy. Ashton’s Gift Of Life
July 11, 2011

Dear Mrs. Sweet,

On behalf of OneLegacy, we would like to again express our deepest sympathy on the death of your daughter, Ashton. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. It is our hope that knowing the results of your generous gift will bring some comfort to you and your family. Your compassionate decision to donate has positively touched the lives of many people.

Ashton’s left kidney was tranplanted into a 36 year old man in California. He is married and has one daughter. We are told that with his gift of life, he now has good kidney function.

A 78 year old man from Hawaii is the recipient of Ashton’s right kidney. This gentleman is married and the father of two. He is a physician who enjoys working on his farm and growing his own vegetables and berries. We are told he is also doing well.

A large segment of Ashton’s liver was transplanted into an 11 year old girl in California. the transplant coordinator tells us that this recipient is doing well and looks forward to returning to school and being with her friends again. The family is very grateful for this life saving gift.

A smaller segment of Ashton’s liver was transplanted into a 14 month old baby boy. This recipient has a sister and he is doing well, at home with his family.

Ashton’s heart recipient is a 16 year old girl in California. With her gift of life, this recipient is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery.

In addition, tissue donation is a gift of immesurable value as there are many thousands of people waiting for a tissie transplant that will enable them to return to a normal life. We recovered bone and cornea tissue. Ashton’s bone and ligament tissue may restore quality of life to those that may have suffered traumatic injuries, joint injuries, cancerous tumours, back injuries, or degenerative disease. This could help people walk, run, and live healthy lives again. Her cornea tissues can restore sight to one or two people who have been devastated by the loss of sight; the gift of restored vision is miraculous.

We understand that words cannot eliminate the pain that you and your family may feel, and we hope that in the time ahead you will gain some comfort in knowing that your compassionate decision to donate helped others. I went to a “Meeting With The Holy Spirit” last night up in Huntington Beach led by my brother in Christ John Kloos. It was an amazing night of worship and time with the King. I encourage everyone who is reading this come the next time there is a meeting as you will not leave disappointed as the Holy Spirit always shows up. It does not matter if you know Jesus or not. “Sons & Daughters of the Prophets”
In my day and yours God ordained us to walk the earth in this time and gave us His son so that we would be part of His story of great redemptive love expressed to us forever in the revelation of Jesus. A speculation arose in our day upon the earth that set itself up against the knowledge of God and created in our culture a stronghold of thinking where the sons and daughters of the promise were regulated to mediocrity cultural irrelevancy where our highest call was to stay on the pavement of religion and not enter the promise land at all. Pharaoh still holds us captive and who can overcome his strength.

Don’t you know that there are giants in the land and we are but grasshoppers in their site. We are to few. Have you not seen the evil in these days, our economy and joblessness and the divorce rate has hit the church and the people of God are scattered. Don’t you understand that I am discouraged and depressed. My prayers aren’t heard, God is far away and their is little power in calling on His name. Haven’t you seen the cancers on Gods children, the diseases that plague us, our families are being destroyed each one does what is right in his own heart, look out for your own interest, self glory is the highest calling. The media is against us, the universities our instructing our kids that there is no God nor a need for Him. Man can solve mans problems. Man is exalted. I can’t carry my own problems let alone someone else. I am just hanging on waiting for the lord to return and get me out of here. I will stay in the comfort of my Church behind the walls and stay safe and live out my life. Pharaoh is leaving me alone why should I stir him up against me and bring trouble on my house.

But in these days of evil the Lord raised up mighty men and woman of God the ones who Peter spoke of they are the sons and daughters of the prophets.(Acts 3:25). These are the ones that turn the world upside down and they are everywhere and now there in my city too. They know that signs and wonders will follow them because they believe and greater works will they do then in Jesus day because He has returned to His father and is seated in all majesty and authority. (John 14:12) These mighty men and woman of God were given spiritual weapons for tearing down the cultural strongholds and speculations that set themselves up against the knowledge of the living God. They overcame by loving their enemies, they were unreasonable in their faith, they prayed unceasingly, gave sacrificially, loved unashamedly, believed without doubt, lived with power, walked in innocence and grew in stature before man and God. The Lord was for them who could be against them and stand.

The giants in the land began to lose the battles that they had won solely through intimidation. The people of God were showing up for the fight. The Holy Spirit was deploying His army and the Captain of the Host was leading them to the promised land. Marriages were being healed, diseases were falling off the people, finances were returning, crime was going down, the temples of the occult were falling, witches and warlocks and their practices were being destroyed, Justice and righteousness were being restored in the governments, mass salivations were taking place, wisdom was present and the favor of God was on the land and His peace was present. Pharaohs magicians were doing all they could, the media was saying this wasn’t real, the intellectuals were saying it just illusion of the mind, emissaries were sent out to make peace with the lamb but no terms were given. Trouble makers were sent out to stir division, bring accusation against the lamb and His prophets but they were found faultless before the Lord. Religious envoys were sent out to make the warriors numb and compromise what God had given to them. They were believing to much and they needed to return to Egypt where they would be taken care of and live out their lives in peace as slaves.

The Saints were being discipled not to follow man but God and who He made them to be. They were not slaves but legitimate heirs with Christ to rule and reign with Him and they would not give their inheritance away. If you are not having victory in your life and overcoming and taking ground its because you don’t know who you are yet. But God is revealing his Bride and She is beautiful and strong and relevant, holy, filled with all wisdom. You are called and invited by Holy Spirit to put on Christ and discover His purpose and plan to make you the victorious in all things.

I was down in Pacific Beach last week for a much needed vacation. If you remember from my testimony(click here to watch it now) I went to San Diego State but lived in Pacific Beach for those 3 years. As a quick reminder my first year at SDSU was a time of pure debauchery if you get my drift and at the end of my first year that is when my life took a different turn in a blink of an eye. Those last 2 years at SDSU were probably my most difficult years of my life both mentally/emotionally and physically. But those 2 years in the fire helped me grow into the person I am today. PRAISE YOU FOR THAT KING JESUS!(as I just typed that sentence I almost started crying but I am in the library and that might be weird lol)

With that said, I went down to Pacific Beach to rest and recharge for a couple days and I had a nice time of beach activities and ONE ON ONE TIME WITH THE LORD. As a matter of fact the Lord was up in my grill the whole time and I was able to learn a lot about myself and about Him and HIS plans for me. I mentioned a couple posts ago that the Lord was speaking to me through Psalm 22 and 23 and through a new series at Saddleback Church called “The Invisible War” part 1 “When You Feel Like Giving Up” and yesterday was part 2 “The Invsible War.” I really encourage you guys to click here and watch the archived videos along with printing out the study notes. The way the Lord was up in my grill was through the book I am reading called “The Fire Of Delayed Answers” by Bob Sorge. This book has really answered a lot of the questions I have had recently about my life. The Bible is the owners manual for life but it’s nice to have on fire Chirstian writer’s who have also gone through the fire personally and then write about it backed up with scripture.

Every other sentence in this book really hit home for me. One sentence I really liked was on page 28, “Once the words of life have touched your soul, and you’ve beheld the beauty of His face through the word’s He’s spoken, you’re hooked.” He is talking about Jesus here and for me in 1996 while I was going to school at SDSU that is when the fire hit and finally understood what Jesus did for me and you AND I WAS HOOKED.
During this time of “delayed answers” in my life I think I got caught up in saying “I” want to do “this” for you Lord or “I” want to do “that” for you Lord and wouldn’t that be awesome. But of course in the first couple pages of the book “The Fire Of Delayed Answers” Bob says “When our passion for God becomes the foremost fire in our lives, then the impacting of other’s lives becomes the inevitable outflow of that dynamic relationship with God.” So that is what I am doing. Seeking God’s face first and then everything that happens after that is gravy. He has me right where he wants me during the time in my life. I know I have a lot of work to do on myself to be all God wants me to be. Please pray for that.

To sum this all up while I was in Pacific Beach I could still feel the party atmosphere, the hurting, the lost, the addicted, the EMPTINESS just like when I lived there in college. I have felt this feeling a couple different places in my life and it was heavy there. I felt an overwhelming need to pray every time I went out to surf or ride my long skateboard. When I went to chill on the beach or go for a walk or run on the boardwalk which was just packed with young people. On Thursday night after a nice long skateboarding session I walked out of my hotel room and just chilled out on some benches right in the middle of a bunch of homeless people. I knew by just sitting there the Lord would do something.

To make a long story a short a guy named Anthony walked over and said nice shirt to me and from there it was on. I was able to listen to his story and talk about Jesus and I know a seed was planted in his heart. Please pray for him as he is suicidal, going through some legal issues, homeless, and having family issues. Come Jesus do a mighty work TODAY! Not to long after that a 21year old by the name of Rachel just walked up and sat right down next to me and we started talking. She was drunk and just got off the plane from Texas. Pray for her as she was totally lost. I saw a lot of me in her when I was 21. All about having fun without a care in the world(or so I thought). Pray for her salvation and guidance for the right career for her. I encourage you to join with me to pray over La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Mission Beach. Pray for revival and healing over those cities.

The Lord is molding me every day. I am a work in progress yet willing to do the work. The first step is that you need to realize that you are a sinner and need a Lord and Savior in your life.
