Living In Kingdom Systems
We live out our daily lives under structures and systems that usually put us in conflict with the “Kingdom” that Christ spoke of while He walked the earth. Intimacy with the Father through the Holy Spirit brings us into direct contact with the Kingdom of God fully represented in Christ. Jesus cultivated a life style of prayer and intimacy with the Heavenly Father so that He could show us His Kingdom that was not of this world. He went about doing good and demonstrated another reality that is superior to ours in every way. This Kingdom reality is accessed through faith in Christ where He backs up His systems to bless us for He knows His plans to prosper you and I.
The Father watches us His children and encourages us to believe in the one He sent, Christ, this is His will for us. He knows that when we begin to believe Him for what He has said we move from an intellectual gospel and powerless system of religion into His glorious riches we have in Christ. The systems of this earth will many times bring us pain. When we are connected to the systems of man and the domain of darkness which scripture calls the system of Babylon, where we trade and go into debt for perceived forms of power to get what we think we want. Jesus told us to come out of this system and into His. We are not of the world systems nor are we to conform to the patterns of this world. We will never find the peace our souls long for in the systems and patterns of this world. It is true, that God does put leaders in charge, rulers and the like but that does not necessarily mean they obey Him. He uses forms of government to bless us but they all fall short of His Kingdom government which the bride of Christ will one day put on as we grow in grace.
The Kingdom of God will not come to the passive. Its not something we can just be open too and hope it comes our way. When we diligently seek Him we will find Him. If we draw near to Him, He draws near to us. If we continue to allow others to be our intermediary between us and God we will move Christ out of His position and replace it with a system invented by man that will not bring us into the promises of God which we already have by faith through grace now. The last three years of the life of Christ were confrontational, radical, filled with demonstrations of power, upsetting all the world systems, speaking truth in radical love no matter how offensive that truth was because He came to set us free that we might have everything in Him that He has already given to us from His Kingdom. Jesus, Holy Spirit and the Father want to show each one of us the ways of love which lead to Kingdom acts where His life, authority and power are demonstrated. Jesus sometimes calls us an unbelieving generation and how long shall He be with us but He is merciful, kind and patient and He knows we are but flesh.
The primary operational system of darkness that many of us are under is unbelief. We are sometimes deceived if that were possible into thinking Gods word is not active, not for today, His promises are for another time or generation, He really doesn’t mean it when He says we will do the things He did or He came that we might have life to the fullest now, or we are to live in blessing and favor filled with His victories, and enjoy every blessing in Christ now, as we learn to be content in every circumstance because we have His perspective not our own. The Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. We don’t live in a passive system of blessing but a system of faith, the only way to please God, that takes what is unseen, His promises, and by the substance of faith makes them visible for all to see as we move into our inheritance as His beloved bride.
The system of God for us has been described in scripture like this: He is the vine and we are the branches. We are blessed in everything as we abide in Him and we can expect to see these blessings in our lives today not when we get to heaven or just waiting out our time on earth. The vine, Jesus, is life our all in all. When we truly seek His Kingdom first and His righteousness imparted to us through faith in His finished work the Kingdom will manifest in your life and mine and the very things Jesus did you will do. The lord has so much to say about this more than I can put down in a note to all of you who read this. Let me encourage you with this thought. The systems of heaven will never bring you distress, anxiety, fear, depression, sickness, sorrow, poverty, loneliness, feelings of inferiority, insecurity guilt or shame. Those things come from the systems of darkness and the world. Take the written word of God that the Holy Spirit has breathed on for this moment for you and hold fast to that which is true and take by force through faith the promises given to you by God and you will have what you believe because He said it!
You are the beloved of God, His inheritance and He put us in Christ forever.
