777

When I bought my ring with three 7’s on it a few years ago, I thought it looked cool. I had no idea the meaning and the significance of the #7 in the Bible. Back then I had 10 rings that I would rotate on a daily basis but as my faith grew and the more I learned about the Bible I decided to only wear the 3 rings that let everyone know that I was a Christian. They are a great talking peace for me to talk about my faith in Jesus Christ.

Through my research I learned that the #7 is used over 700 times in the Bible and 54 times in the book of Revelation alone.

Some of the ways to describe the #7 are spiritual perfection, finished, number of sovereignty and absoluteness, sacred number of the covenant between God and man, completed work, fulfillment, and rest as God created all things in the beginning in 6 days and then rested on the seventh day.

The following are examples of the #7 in the Bible:

1-From the book of Revelation: seven angels, seven plagues, seven candlesticks, seven seals, seven churches, seven spirits, seven  heads, seven thunders, seven horns, seven mountains, seven trumpets.

2- The word “Created” is used Seven times in connection with God’s creative work(Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:21; 1:27(3 times); 2:3; and 2:4)

3-Abominable Sins-Proverbs 6:16 and 26:25

4-Creation Miracles-2 Kings 4:35 and 5:10

5-Days of the Week-Genesis 2:2

6-Forgiveness-Matthew 18:21-22
