The Cross

The Cross is what changed my life forever. I grew up in a Christian home and went to Church my entire life but had no idea what the Cross really meant. Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s not a relationship where you are friends only when you need him. It’s a 24 hour a day relationship. I finally understood the meaning of the Cross one fateful morning in May 1996. You can learn more about my story by clicking here to watch my testimony.

From that day forward my life had meaning and a purpose. Believe me it was not all about me anymore. It was all about him, my King and my Savior Jesus Christ.

Along with the three 7’s ring and praying hands ring I also wear a ring with a huge cross on it to remind me daily the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Below are Bible verses that have spoken to me about Jesus.

If you want to give your life today to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for our sins and sicknesses please say the Salvation Prayer below out loud or silently as Jesus knows all of our thoughts and please leave a comment below to let me know you have made this choice.

Know Jesus?
The following information is from the River Church of OC. Go to www.therivertustin.org to watch a short video(click on Know Jesus?) from Rick Warren about Jesus Christ or read below.

How to Know God.  The plain and simple truth.

1. Realize that you are a sinner.

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person.  That is because we are all sinners.  We all fall short of God’s desire for us to be holy.  The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one” (Romans 3:10 NLT).  This is because we cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

2. Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

The Bible tells us, “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT).  This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

3. Repent of your sin.

The Bible tells us to “repent and be converted” (Acts 3:19 NKJV).  The word repent means to change our direction in life.  Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.

4. Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday.  It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart.

Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door (of your life) and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in . . . .” (Revelation 3:20 NKJV).

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart. Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner.  I believe you died for my sins.  Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life.  I confess you as my personal Lord and Savior.  Thank you for saving me.  Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart!  Your decision to follow Christ means God has forgiven you and that you will spend eternity in heaven.

The Bible tells us, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 NKJV).

If you just prayed the above prayer, let me know so I can pray for you. Email me at neal@nealcaldwell.tv or leave a comment below.

Bible Verses

The Bible said in John 3:16-18 that 16″For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

In this time of fear and and despair I have to and willingly turn my life to God. I am asking the Lord to Save me and to keep me close to him as I stuggle to find help and get the appropriate care needed for recovery. It is sometimes in are darkest and most lost times that we turn to God. I feel that we do this because we know of the comfort, closeness and love God can provide that no one else can do or even understand how to. I know when you are scared and in fear your first thoughts are to turn to God. It is difficult for me right know in the state I am in, becasue I really would like to just give in and not try but it is these times I am going to continue to fight and keep believing that my time is coming and I will be healed.
