Statements Of Beliefs

Below are four “Statements Of Beliefs” from four Christian leaders/Churches I respect. Click their link to learn more about each person’s ministry or Church.

Bethel Church
Pastor Bill Johnson

The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s Kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today, in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is “true God” and “true man.”

We are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit, convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.

Artos Ministries
Pastor Charlie Fernandez

We Believe – Jesus Christ is God (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1,14; John 10: 24-30; Titus 2:13), became flesh through His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34-35), lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; II Corinthians 5:21; I John 3:5), voluntarily atoned for the sins of men by dying on the cross (I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9; I Peter 3:18), rose from the dead in the same body (John 2:18-22; John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4), ascended into heaven at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19; Ephesians l: 19b-21), and is the only mediator between God and man Romans 8:34; 1 Tim 2:5; Heb 7:24-25; 1 John 2:1).

Saddleback Church
Pastor Rick Warren

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 1:3, 4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14, 15; Titus 2:13

ABOUT SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works – only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY

Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian.
John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25; 10:10, 14; 1 Peter 1:3-5

The Father’s Touch
Steve Trullinger

We believe that every Christian should seek to be free from physical, emotional, and spiritual hindrances to living a victorious, abundant life of service to God [John 10:10, Rom. 5:17, Heb. 12:1]. We believe that it is God’s will that we should be set free from every snare that keeps us from having an intimate, fulfilling relationship with Him [Mt. 6:33-34, Mk. 16:17-18]. We believe that the “kingdom of heaven is forcefully advancing and that forceful men take hold of it” [Mt. 11:12].

We believe God is sovereign over his entire creation and that individual healing occurs in accordance with his perfect plan [Job 42:2, Ps. 139:16b, Jer. 29:11, Rev. 19:16]. Because of our necessarily limited understanding of his purposes, healing does not always occur when we would like it to happen or in the way we think it should happen [Is. 55:8-9]. Nevertheless, we are admonished by our Lord to ask for what we need and to believe that our Father’s desire is to bless us with every good and perfect gift [Mt. 7:7-11, Jas. 1:17].

We believe that the spiritual gift of healing and associated gifts of miracles, prophecy, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, etc., are not only in evidence today as they were in the early Church, but are intended by God to be used and not neglected [ 1 Tim. 4:14, 2 Tim. 1:6, Heb. 13:8]. We have a responsibility to pray for one another and to believe that God can and will intervene to accomplish miraculous acts of kindness and mercy according to his pleasure [Ex. 33:19, Eph. 6:18, 1 Pet. 1:22].

We believe that Satan and his demonic forces are real [Dan.10: 12-14, Eph.6:12-18, 1 Pet. 5:8-9] and that deliverance from demonic oppression is one of the ingredients in the healing process. We do not fear Satan or his forces, but rather believe that Christ was victorious over them at the cross [2 Tim. 1:7, 1Co. 15:57, 1 John 4:18; 5:4]. We believe that authority and power has been given to Christians to conquer these influences and that prayer is an integral part of realizing victory in our lives [Lk. 10:19, Jas. 4:7, 1 John 4:4].

We believe that the healing ministry of Jesus and his disciples provides the model for us to follow, and we seek direction and encouragement from God’s Word to guide us as we pray for healing [Ps. 119:105, Prov. 3:5-6, Jas. 5:14]. We believe that God’s healing miracles are a result of his grace and not because of our works [Ex. 33:19, Eph. 2:8-10]. Therefore, we do not have man-made rituals or recipes to follow as we pray. We believe that healing is accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit and not by how well we follow a particular procedure [Zec. 4:6]. At the same time, we believe that all things should be done in an orderly fashion in obedience to God’s will [1Co. 14:32-3,40], and thus we do have common elements in our meetings: worship and praise offerings, thanksgiving, expressions of dependence on God, willingness to be content with whatever He does or does not do, rejoicing over His miracles, etc. [Lk. 5:26; 19:37-40, 1Co. 14:26, Php. 4:4,6,12, 1 Thes. 5:18, Heb. 13:15]

We believe that all the glory belongs to God for his divine healing of our infirmities and that the focus of our gratitude should never be on individuals who are merely His instruments of grace [Rom. 11:36, Gal. 6:3-4]. We do not believe that any one healing team in our ministry is more “powerful” or more “gifted” than another [1Co. 12:21-26, 2Co. 10:12] . Instead, we believe that all the teams function as members of the Body of Christ to serve one another in a variety of ways and with specialties of emphasis, but with the recognition that God can and will move through any group He chooses to accomplish any miracle He desires [1Co. 12:14-20].

    hi neal!
with dial up internet i can’t watch the testimonies yet, but what i am able to see of this website is awesome! i can’t wait to be able to watch the videos in about 2 weeks, when we get better internet. thank you for putting this together, as a witness to the world, and as an encouragement to Christians to be a light (a fire in fact) in this dark world. this website has convicted me in a very good way. i’d love prayer that God would show me how He desires to use me to reach the lost and encourage brothers and sisters in Christ. In Him, Christy
